The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection came with a fixed 800x600 screen resolution that could not be changed, at least not if you have one of the latest graphics cards - that's because the game does not recognize these. EA did release the Sims 2 Ultimate Collection which was free at the time and now might still be obtainable through Customer Support if you own at least one Sims 2 game. That should run with Windows 8 and 10. It also does have SecuRom, same as Sims 3 download but since it’s the download version, it should work.
